So now I stand by the River
It grows murky in the dark.
It speaks in a language
I can not decipher
Yet, I know
It calls me
To drown myself
To water-fill my lungs
To swirl into
Nothingness
To sink
And to Rise
Too far from help
Too close to sleep
Spreading it's ripple-arms
Wanting to embrace me
I stare in
My ripply waterry face stares back
Pearl-moon smiles down
Smiles up at me
I give in
Throwing myself into ever-bath
Forever wet
Eternal sleep.
